Mango Hill Community Hall, Tennis and
Basketball Courts to receive Facelift
Despite Covid-19 keeping most of us “inside” over recent months
and putting on hold those normal activities such as sports and
group meetings, the Progress Association and Moreton Bay
Regional Council have continued to work behind the scenes to
utilise the time available for the benefit of the community.
Our major goal is to upgrade the various facilities of the Mango
Hill Community Centre before a return to regular use of the hall
in the near future.
On the eve of the 30th Anniversary (Sept 1990) of the opening
of the Mango Hill Tennis Court, both the Tennis Court and the
adjacent Basketball Court will get a facelift thanks to Council’s
recent approval of a Grant application by the Mango Hill
Progress Association.
• The Tennis Court will have a new surface and upgraded
LED Lights, which will give a higher light resolution to both
courts for users and
• The Basketball Court will also have a new surface and new
competition line markings.
Community Hall:
In addition, the Community Hall has had internal rails installed
for dance classes. The Hall will also receive a new coat of paint
both internally and externally.
It is expected that all work will be carried out by the end of June,
in time for a resumption of normal activities.
The support of the Moreton Bay Regional Council is appreciated
and is based on Council and the Progress Association working
together to enhance the quality of Life for all in the local
community.
