3 Tier Government Attendance at April Progress Meeting
In a reflection of how the Mango Hill Progress Association is
respected in the community, it was terrific to have our elected
“Pollies” from all 3 levels of government attend the April
meeting of the Mango Hill Progress Association on 24th April,
following the Anzac commemorations earlier in the evening.
It was almost a full house as first, Jodie Shipway (Councillor &
Deputy Mayor), was congratulated on her “re-election” and
appointment as Deputy Mayor. Jodie gave a brief outline of local
issues including:
• Lamington Road: Despite no physical work being evident,
much work is underway behind the scenes with Telstra
and Optus relocating services underground. Ground works
should recommence after July with Lamington Road being
on track for opening later in 2024.
• Chelmsford Road: Signage will be erected on Chelmsford
Rd at the “narrowing” between Muriel and Winifred Streets.
• Drainage in Danzy Buchanan Park and North Lakes Reserve
& upgrades of Rose and Mary Streets: (see separate article).
