Community Groups Encouraged to Apply For
Discretionary Funds
There’s still money available in this year’s Council’s
Discretionary Funds, so Mayor Peter Flannery
is encouraging community groups to make
application.
“This initiative is specifically set up to help give smaller groups
and charities a hand,” he said.
“In the past we’ve provided support to the amazing work of
organisations like Rural Firies, Lions Clubs, local school initiatives,
U3A, and even the Steam and Vintage Machinery Society.”
“As we chart a course to economic recovery, I want to make sure
community groups aren’t forgotten and don’t slip through the
cracks.
“Each year Councillors have a $30,000 Discretionary Fund
allocation they can approve, which is a great way of delivering
local support to literally every corner of our region. Baby Bundles For Young Mums To Keep Flowing
