Queensland’s Shocking 2021 Road Toll
There has been an almost 50% increase in the number of
people losing their lives on Queensland roads compared to
last year, with 61 people losing their lives on Queensland
roads in just 80 days, compared with 41 lives lost in the same
period last year.
The statistics for motorcyclists are far worse. Of the 61 people,
21 motorcyclists lost their lives compared with 10 in the same
period last year. A 110% increase on last year and a 90% increase
in motorcycle fatalities over the five-year average.
