Welcome to the first edition of Best Of Local
Moreton Bay for 2022! We trust that everyone
has had a meaningful break and that you are 4 Region No More: Moreton Bay City
ready for a big year. It may have started off Starts Transformation in 2022
slowly, with the return to school being delayed

rest assured that it will be a year to go down in
history. Can’t you just feel that? For a start, Australia will have its’ Federal
Election in the first half of this year and with major parties around the world 12 Assisting Communities through
‘on the nose’ with many, the outcome is bound to be of global interest. Direct Connection
Mental Health and Wellbeing is a not so talked about casualty of 14 Diving into a Cleaner Future
government endorsed COVID management measures, which were for Centenary Lakes
introduced in blanket fashion over the past two years. Government
measures such as enforced isolation and policy pushing that utilise fear 17 USC: Swimwear Designer Draws
and shaming as an implementation strategy have all played their role in the Line at Fishing Waste
an uptick in mental health problems within society. One group proactively
acknowledging and taking action in the local community is Community 18 Zande Law: Elder Abuse by
Mental Health Australia (CMHA), who are running a door to door campaign An Attorney
called ACDC (Assisting Communities through Direct Connection). Read all

Our good friends over at the Mango Hill Progress Association have some
wonderful local stories, including a brief history of Mango Hill and a 21 Dear Alice
showcase of two local families who, as well as making Mango Hill their
home, have been usefully engaged in the many community activities of the 22 Horoscopes
Association. Mango Hill Progress Association is a not for profit Organisation,
active in making Mango Hill a better and great place to live, which we would
all agree it is. 24 Puzzles
