to help secure that rental property.
COMPLETE YOUR APPLICATION
Believe it not we get a tonne of applications that are incomplete and missing crucial documents needed
to process the application. In a market where we receive 20+ applications, you can't afford to submit an
incomplete application.
TIDY YOUR RENTAL LEDGER
Even being 1 day behind can affect your rental reference. Pay your rent in advance, pay your water bills
on time and avoid sporadic rental amounts. It looks messy and inconsistent and can turn landlords off
at first sight.
GET A PET REFERENCE LETTER
If you're one of those lucky people who have furry little family members then it's 100% worth asking
for a reference from your current agent as an extra leg up when applying for a new property. Some
owners worry about pets in their property so being proactive is key.
VIEW THE PROPERTY
Seems pretty obvious, but don't expect to get an instant approval if you haven't even viewed the
property. Do a drive by of the home, check out the neighbourhood, and register for the 1st available
inspection!
