Units Coming ‘On-Line’ Push for 2nd Anzac Ave Connection

Comment from Mango Hill Progress Association.

With yet another “acreage” of units (former Perna acreage on
Kinsellas Rd West), due for completion in coming months, the
importance of finalising works on the Mango Hill Ring Road is
becoming more acute, especially given that entry and exit to
this unit complex is via vehicles requiring a “left hand turn in &
left hand turn out” to & from Kinsellas Rd West.

The Mango Hill Progress Association remains in close contact
with Councillor Jodie Shipway who endeavours to provide
regular updates for the Mango Hill News. Advice received from
Council Officers as of 29 October indicates that ground works
       are continuing.

Word on the ground indicates that TMR (Dept of Transport &
Main Roads) is very close to approving final operational plans
for the connection to Anzac Ave (and Capestone Blvd) and that
night works should commence by mid-November.

The Progress Association has been in touch with Council Officers
on the ground to recommend that Council cover the barrier
fencing along Anzac Ave with a barrier cloth to clearly deliniate
the work site, especially giving the setting sun late in the day
       which may reduce visability.

The quiet morning serenity of Danzy Buchanan Park on 14
October was broken by two large excavators devouring 468m
of bitumen topping of Chermside Road from John Street
around to Kinsellas Rd West roundabout at Mary Street.

It was a flawless operation involving considerable machinery
and equipment and carried out with excellent timing, as this
very worn stretch of Chermside Road was first stripped and then
completely resealed in just two days, just in time for Election Day
                                                              at the Community Hall.

The new work is a huge improvement and a credit to the team
