Lions Famous Christmas Since 1982, Bruce Whitfield of Theo’s Nursery in Kallangur
has been one of a dedicated group of Kallangur Lions Club
Cakes are Back! members who have done so much for their community.
Now 42 years down the track, Bruce and his willing team of
volunteers continue to play a significant community role by
being an outlet for the sale of Lions Clubs traditional cakes.
For The Lions Clubs around Australia, one of their biggest
fundraisers has been the Famous Christmas Cakes and Puddings
that are prevalent on Aussie tables on Christmas Day.
The support from the public in purchasing the following items
will greatly assist Lions Clubs around Australia to continue their
vital community projects.

Mango Hill’s Lead Wins Early Child Care Centre Award
Congratulations goes to Mango Hill’s Lead Lead Service Manager, Chantelle Pike-Prosser receives award from Deborah Morandi
Childcare Centre on Halpine Drive at Mango Hill,
who were announced as winners from 8 finalists
at the Moreton Bay Local Business Awards at the
Mon Komo Hotel at Redcliffe on 17th October.
In taking out the award, the judges considered
community involvement, the centre’s facilities,
website content, business profiles and the
outcome of “mystery shoppers”, who conducted
tours of each of the nominating Childcare Centres
in the region. “I am so proud of them for winning this
award.” Stated Dr Hefford.
Mango Hill now has two Lead Childcare centres,
both of which are operated by Dr Nina Hefford
who indicated that her staff seek to bring their
passion for educating and guiding the little ones
in their care each day.
