Landscape of Village continues to Change as Joy’s former Homestead is
cleared and Koala seeks Refuge in (another) Joy’s Palm Tree.
The month of November saw the demise of another of the
acreage blocks within the Mango Hill Village as a vision of a
former resident (Joy Bowman) receded into history. The former
acreage homestead fell to the bulldozer that also sadly took out
the remaining gumtrees on the Chelmsford (west) face of the
property in order to develop land/house blocks for the ever-
expanding population of Village residents.
It is most likely the cause of the sighting of one of the few Koalas
within the village which John St Resident, Jean Cobb found in
her Palm Tree on the morning of 25th November. Thankfully,
an inspection by Koala Care Folk that morning pronounced
this little Koala as a “healthy young female” and which should
be allowed to find her own way back to the surrounding bush
corridor which occurred by midday on Friday. Hopefully, this
little Koala has found a safe haven.
