Making our Community Safer:

                                    Design a mural for us

A/Superintendent John Van Egmond, Sue from Bunnings Caboolture, Inspector
Julia Cook, Ken Bradley from Crimestoppers and Peta Saul from Dulux.

Recently, our local Caboolture Crimestoppers group placed PCYC Queensland’s three pillars – youth development, crime
a shipping container at the back of the Caboolture Police prevention and community engagement – underpin all that
station to store some of their equipment. Unfortunately, it is they do.
not very pleasant to look at.
You might like to have a look at how Crimestoppers help solve,
We want to make it a work of art – something to unite our reduce and prevent crime in our community.
       community.

We are inviting the people of Moreton to get creative and come
up with a mural design for the side of the container.

The side we want you to paint will face the neighbouring block,
where the new Caboolture PCYC is being built.

We want something eye catching that will be seen by all who
visit the new club. The designs will be voted on by a panel of
judges, who will decide who gets to bring their design to life,
and of course, have bragging rights. Oh and did we mention,
       prizes to be won.

community project by supplying everything you will need to
complete the mural. The container is 5.9m long and 2.39m high. It will be cleaned,
rust treated and primed ready to receive its face lift by the end
People of all ages are invited to participate in the project, of May.
which we hope will invigorate minds and enhance community
relationships. To submit your design, email Moreton.media@police.qld.gov.au

The theme for the mural is “Making our community safer”. Entries will close on May 5, 2024.

Maybe the PCYC ethos – Together we are building safer, healthier
communities through youth development, will inspire you.
