Community Announcement:
No Lights No Lycra at the
Mango Hill Community Hall
No Lights No Lycra, has been operating at the Mango Hill
Community Centre hall on Thursday evenings this term. “NLNL”,
is a global dance community providing an inclusive and non-
judgemental place for people to dance in the dark.
Anyone from age 12 years up is welcome to come and enjoy the
freedom of dancing in the dark with no judgement, no routines
to learn, no instructors, no pressure, and no fuss. It is a safe and
welcoming environment.
The darkness is not “pitch black” but rather darkened so all that
can really be seen is the silhouettes of other dancers. It is 1 hour
of non-stop dance music to suit all ages and genres.
The dance sessions are designed to be inclusive to all sectors of
the community NLNL is a fabulous way to boost both positive
physical and mental health through free-form dance and
exercise at the participants own pace.

The Mango Hill Progress Association is open to all Mango Hill and North
Lakes Residents with our General Meetings generally being held on the 3rd
Wednesday of the month. By attending Progress Association meetings, you
can provide input into your community and become aware of many of the
issues that make our community a fantastic place in which to live and enjoy
life.
The Mango Hill Progress Association is well respected and attended by our
elected representatives with our Local Councillor (Jodie Shipway) and State
Member (Chris Whiting) being regular participants in our meetings along with
our Federal Member (Luke Howarth) attending whenever he can “escape”
from Canberra.
