Federal Member Luke Howarth attends March Meeting.
Federal Member for Petrie, Luke Howarth attended the March
meeting of the Progress Association, outlining his commitment
to continue to advocate strongly for the residents of his
Electorate, as he did whilst a member of the Government prior
to the last Federal Election. Recent outcomes have included:
• Solar Park Lighting – Danzy Buchanan Park
• Swimming pool – Lakes College
• Mango Hill Carpark upgrades
As Shadow Minister for Defence Personnel & Defence Industry,
Luke indicated that there are many career opportunities for
young people in Defence given the need to expand the overall
level of the Australian Defence Force, noting that he also had a
son in the Defence Force.
Despite no longer being a member of the governing party in
Canberra, Luke indicated that he had developed a very good
relationship with Government Ministers and was confident
that the local electorate would continue to benefit from his
representation on local programs. As he has done since 2013
when first elected, Luke welcomed the opportunity to attend
the Progress Association meeting and to be able to chat with
local residents when Parliament and other duties permit.
