The Best Sunday Fun Run Ever!

“Each Year, we enjoy the Best Fun Run ever.” says Mr Peter Ham, leader and treasurer of

the MORETON BAY REGIONAL PROSTATE CANCER SUPPORT GROUP.

“But we do it for a very serious reason, to raise funds to fight Prostate

Cancer in the Moreton Bay Region. And the funds we raise go to the

Urology Department at the Redcliffe Hospital, Immunotherapy

Research at the RBWH and to support men diagnosed with

this devastating disease.”

Last year, more than 24,000 men are diagnosed with Prostate Cancer and each year, it

kills over 3,000 men. That is why more than 150 doctors, clinical specialists and friends

are running to raise $20,000 to support this vital work at the local level, in our region.

In its 4th year, the Fun Run has continued its sensational growth. Starting at Woody

Point Jetty the bayside circuit takes the runners and walkers to the Redcliffe Jetty and

back along a safe and secure path. All the while, under a magnificent winter sunrise.

So many runners have said “we have got to do this again next year,” and they do!

Thanks to our sponsors, the fun Run package includes a Free Tee-shirt, Free Cap, Free

gift bag and a Free Breakfast at the Belvedere Hotel. Add to that a fantastic array of

lucky door and raffle prizes: all bigger and better than before: It simply does not get any

better than that.

This year, the Fun Run is on Sunday the 6th August. The 10k run starts at 7:00 am, the 5k

run at 7:10 and the 5k walk at 7:15. Sign in is between 6:30 and 7:00 am.

All you need to do to join in the fun is scan the QR code below and register on the

website where you will find more details about the Fun Run. You can register as an

individual or as a team. Its free to enter and all we ask is you raise $50 each through

family, friends and work colleagues.
