Paris Olympics beckon as Lyn Gilroy is

                           appointed Australian Gymnnastics Coach

For Mango Hill Residents Lyn & Alex Gilroy, through their many
years of involvement as both coaches and coordinators of the
gymnastics and trampolining programs provided by Redcliffe
PCYC, they have assisted many hundreds of young people in
finding success and joy in the field of sport.

Over the last few years Lyn has risen to be the Qld state coach for
trampolining and in this role, has succeeded in coaching many
Queensland kids to become national champions, of which a
significant number are Morton Bay residents.

Now Lyn has another string to add to her very impressive
volunteer career in being appointed as one of the Australian
Trampolining Team Coaches. Lyn was recently on the coaching
staff that attended the Trans-Tasman Trampolining Challenge in
       New Zealand.

Pictured is Lyn with her most senior and successful athlete,
Harrison Lee, an Australian team member who at world titles last
year ranked 6th in the world. This is a fantastic result for Harrison,
considering that he, as well as other team members, have to
fund all their own training costs.

Lyn and other Australian coaches are now working hard to help
Harrison and the other team athletes qualify at the upcoming
Australian National Titles for a position on the team to represent
Australia at World Titles at the end of this year and then the Paris
       Olympics next year.
                                                                   Call

       Gilroy Family:

Although Alex is somewhat retired from coaching these days, and
Lyn is still very much involved at the Redcliffe PCYC where
she has a few athletes that are either current members of the I’ll come
Australian Team or are in the development squads for future
       possible Australian selection. to you.

As a family, the Gilroy’s have lived in the Mango Hill Village for
14 years and have contributed significantly to the activities
of the Mango Hill Progress Association. For many years, they
and neighbour Ken Hatchman were actively involved with the Find out how much you
